Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease/flour an 8-inch round cake pan.
- Prepare dry ingredients: Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Cream butter and sugar: In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Add wet ingredients: Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.
- Combine wet and dry: Gradually add dry ingredients to wet, mix until just combined.
- Assemble: Spread batter in the pan, top with plums, sugar, and cinnamon.
- Bake: Bake for 40-45 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool and serve: Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature.
