- juice and zest of 1 lemon

- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
For the Pasta:
- 8 ounces bowtie (farfalle) pasta
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ¼ cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Cook the bowtie pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving ½ cup of pasta water.
- Cook the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a skillet, add chicken, season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook until browned and cooked through. Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Prepare the Sauce: Stir in lemon juice and zest, reduce heat, add butter, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese. Stir until melted and combined.
- Combine and Serve: Add cooked pasta to the skillet, toss to coat, using reserved pasta water as needed. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
