Description

Cool off with this refreshing Mango Lassi recipe, a popular Indian drink made with ripe mangoes, yogurt, and a hint of cardamom. It’s creamy, sweet, and perfect for a hot day!

Ingredients

Scale

Ripe Mango Lassi:

  • 1 cup ripe mango chunks (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • Ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add Ingredients: Add the mango chunks, yogurt, milk, honey or sugar, and ground cardamom to a blender.
  2. Blend: Blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add Ice (Optional): For a colder and thicker lassi, add a few ice cubes and blend again until frothy.
  4. Adjust Sweetness: Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
  5. Serve: Pour into glasses and serve immediately, optionally garnished with a pinch of cardamom or chopped pistachios.

Notes

  • Use canned mango pulp if fresh mangoes are out of season.
  • Alphonso mangoes work best for authentic flavor.
  • For a vegan version, use dairy-free yogurt and milk.
