Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease/flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add Eggs and Flavorings: Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.
  5. Combine Wet Ingredients: Mix in mashed bananas and milk until combined.
  6. Combine Dry and Wet: Gradually stir in dry ingredients until just mixed.
  7. Make Chocolate Mixture: In a small bowl, mix cocoa powder and hot water.
  8. Create Marbled Batter: Transfer half of the batter to another bowl and stir in cocoa mixture.
  9. Layer and Swirl: Alternate spoonfuls of plain and chocolate batters in pan, then swirl together.
