Pasta:

  • 12 ounces pasta (penne or fettuccine)

Chicken:

  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips

Other:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook Pasta: Cook pasta until al dente, drain, and set aside.
  2. Cook Chicken: Heat olive oil in a skillet, cook seasoned chicken strips until golden, then set aside.
  3. Make Sauce: In the same skillet, sauté garlic and red pepper flakes, add sun-dried tomatoes, cream, broth, seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer until slightly thickened.
  4. Combine: Return chicken to the skillet, add cooked pasta, toss to coat. Sprinkle with fresh basil.
