  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

For the Casserole:

  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for topping)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Prepare the Meatballs: In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Form into meatballs.
  3. Brown the Meatballs: Brown the meatballs in a skillet.
  4. Assemble the Casserole: Spread marinara sauce in a baking dish, place meatballs, pour remaining sauce, and top with cheeses.
  5. Bake: Cover with foil and bake, then remove foil and bake until cheese is melted and bubbly.
