Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 (25-ounce) package frozen beef ravioli
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, divided
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1 (24-ounce) jar marinara sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for baking the lasagna.
  2. Make Cream Cheese Mixture: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, ½ cup Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, onion powder, and salt. Mix thoroughly until smooth and well combined.
  3. Layer the Lasagna – First Layer: Spread ¼ cup of the marinara sauce in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish to prevent sticking and add moisture to the base.
  4. Add Ravioli Layer: Place half of the frozen beef ravioli in a single layer over the sauce. There’s no need to thaw the ravioli beforehand.
  5. Add Cream Cheese Mixture: Evenly spread half of the cream cheese mixture over the layer of ravioli.
  6. Sprinkle Mozzarella Cheese: Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the cream cheese layer to add richness and meltiness.
  7. Add Marinara Sauce: Spread half of the remaining marinara sauce over the mozzarella cheese layer to enhance flavor and moisture.
  8. Repeat Layers: Repeat the layering process with the remaining ravioli, cream cheese mixture, mozzarella cheese, and marinara sauce, ensuring even distribution.
  9. Final Cheese Topping: Sprinkle the top layer generously with the remaining mozzarella cheese along with the remaining Parmesan cheese for a golden, bubbly crust.
  10. Bake Covered: Cover the baking dish tightly with foil to retain moisture and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  11. Bake Uncovered: Remove the foil and bake uncovered for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and starting to brown slightly.
  12. Serve: Let the lasagna rest for a few minutes before serving to allow it to set for easier slicing and enhanced flavor melding.

Notes

  • This recipe uses frozen ravioli, so there is no need to pre-cook them before layering.
  • Covering the dish with foil during the initial baking keeps the lasagna moist while baking uncovered finishes off with a bubbly golden cheese crust.
  • Feel free to substitute the beef ravioli with cheese ravioli or another favorite variety to suit your taste.
  • For extra flavor, consider adding sautéed vegetables like spinach or mushrooms between the layers.
  • Allow the baked lasagna to cool for about 5-10 minutes before cutting to help it hold its shape.
