  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Heat Butter and Olive Oil: In a large skillet or Dutch oven, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Sauté Onion: Add sliced onion and sauté until softened, about 3–4 minutes. Stir in garlic and cook until fragrant.
  3. Add Cabbage: Add chopped cabbage, season with salt, pepper, sugar, and red pepper flakes if using. Sauté until cabbage begins to wilt.
  4. Add Liquid: Pour in broth and apple cider vinegar. Cover and simmer on low heat for 20–25 minutes.
  5. Finish Cooking: Uncover and cook for an additional 5 minutes if desired. Serve warm.
