Ingredients
Scale
Beef
- 1 ½ lbs beef sirloin tips or stew meat
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Teriyaki Sauce
- 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Thickener
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (slurry)
Garnish (optional)
- Sesame seeds
- Sliced green onions
Instructions
- Sear the Beef: Set the Ninja Foodi to Sauté mode and add the olive oil. Once hot, add the beef tips and sear for 3–4 minutes until browned on all sides to develop flavor. Then turn off the Sauté mode.
- Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the teriyaki sauce, low-sodium soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper until well combined.
- Pressure Cook: Pour the prepared sauce over the seared beef in the Ninja Foodi pot, stirring to coat the beef evenly. Close the lid securely, set the valve to “Seal,” and pressure cook on High for 15 minutes.
- Release Pressure: After cooking, allow the pressure to naturally release for 10 minutes, then carefully quick release any remaining pressure. Open the lid once all pressure is released.
- Thicken the Sauce: Turn on the Sauté mode again, and stir in the cornstarch slurry. Cook for 2–3 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens into a glossy, rich consistency.
- Serve and Garnish: Serve the sweet teriyaki beef tips hot over cooked rice or noodles. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions if desired for added flavor and presentation.
Notes
- Chuck roast can be used instead of sirloin tips for a more tender result.
- Adjust the sweetness by reducing the amount of brown sugar or honey according to your taste preference.
- This dish is great for meal prep and can be frozen for later use.
