- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Additional:
- 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup Nutella, chilled in the freezer for at least 30 minutes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Prepare dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Prepare wet ingredients: In a large bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla.
- Combine ingredients: Gradually stir in the dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Stuff and bake: Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of dough, flatten slightly, place 1 teaspoon of chilled Nutella in the center, fold the dough around it to seal, roll into a ball, and place on the baking sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
- Cool and enjoy: Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- Freezing the Nutella into small dollops before stuffing makes it easier to handle.
- Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage.
