Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients.
- Add Oats and Chocolate Chips: Stir in the oats and chocolate chips until evenly mixed.
- Bake: Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes until golden.
- Cool: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For chewier cookies, slightly underbake them and let them finish setting on the baking sheet.
