  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 12 ounces uncooked pasta (penne or rotini)
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes (with juices)
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Garnish:

  • Fresh parsley or basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brown the Sausage: Heat olive oil in a large skillet, add sausage, and cook until browned.
  2. Sauté Aromatics: Add onion and garlic, sauté until softened.
  3. Season and Add Pasta: Stir in Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, pasta, diced tomatoes, and broth. Bring to a boil.
  4. Simmer: Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 12–15 minutes until pasta is tender.
