- 2 ripe peaches, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
To Serve
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Boil Water: Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a saucepan to prepare the tea infusion.
- Steep Hibiscus Tea: Remove the saucepan from heat and steep the two hibiscus tea bags in the hot water for 8-10 minutes to extract the rich floral flavor and color.
- Sweeten Tea: Remove the tea bags and stir in 2 tablespoons of honey or agave syrup until fully dissolved, balancing the tartness with natural sweetness.
- Cool Tea & Add Lemon: Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then stir in 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice for a bright, citrusy accent.
- Combine With Peaches: In a large pitcher, combine the cooled hibiscus tea with 2 thinly sliced ripe peaches, allowing the fruits to infuse their juicy taste.
- Chill & Infuse: Refrigerate the mixture for at least 1 hour to let the flavors meld beautifully.
- Serve: Serve the tea over ice cubes, garnished with fresh mint leaves if desired, for an extra refreshing aroma and presentation.
Notes
- For a sparkling version, substitute half of the water with sparkling water just before serving for a fizzy twist.
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey/agave syrup according to taste preferences.
- Using frozen peach slices instead of fresh not only chills the drink further but also helps prevent dilution from melting ice cubes.
