  • 2 cups Nespresso coffee
  • 1 teaspoon crushed candy canes
  • 2 candy canes (for garnish)

Marshmallow Creamer

  • 1/2 cup half & half cream (10%)
  • 1/4 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract

Peppermint Whipped Cream

  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream (35%)
  • 1 tablespoon icing sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract

Instructions

  1. Brew Coffee: Brew 2 cups of Nespresso coffee and keep it hot for assembling the latte later.
  2. Heat Half & Half: Pour 1/2 cup of half & half cream into a pan and heat over medium heat until small bubbles form around the edges, indicating it’s warm but not boiling.
  3. Melt Marshmallows: Add 1/4 cup mini marshmallows to the warm half & half and whisk continuously until the marshmallows are fully melted and incorporated into a smooth creamer.
  4. Add Peppermint Extract: Stir in 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract into the melted marshmallow creamer and then remove the mixture from the heat.
  5. Whip Cream: In a separate bowl, whip 1/4 cup cold heavy whipping cream until it thickens slightly and soft peaks begin to form.
  6. Sweeten and Flavor Whipped Cream: Add 1 tablespoon icing sugar and 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract to the whipped cream, then continue whipping until it reaches your desired consistency, fluffy and stable.
  7. Assemble Latte: Pour the warm peppermint marshmallow creamer into the hot brewed coffee and mix gently.
  8. Top with Whipped Cream: Spoon the peppermint whipped cream on top of the latte for a rich and festive garnish.
  9. Garnish: Sprinkle 1 teaspoon crushed candy canes over the whipped cream and add a whole candy cane on the side or inside the cup for decoration and extra peppermint flavor.
