Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Make the cookie dough: In a large bowl, cream softened butter and powdered sugar. Add peppermint extract, then gradually mix in the flour and cornstarch until a dough forms.
- Shape and bake: Roll dough into balls, place on baking sheet, flatten slightly, and bake for 10–12 minutes until lightly golden. Cool on the pan.
- Prepare the frosting: Cream butter, then gradually add powdered sugar, milk, and peppermint extract until smooth.
- Frost the cookies: Frost the cooled cookies and sprinkle with crushed peppermint candies.
