Description

These Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Cheesy Breadsticks are a delicious twist on the classic sandwich. Tender ribeye steak, sautéed peppers, onions, and gooey cheeses are all stuffed inside homemade pizza dough for a mouthwatering appetizer that’s perfect for game day or any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Philly Cheesesteak Filling:

  • 1 pound thinly sliced ribeye steak
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Breadsticks:

  • 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Sauté the Philly Cheesesteak Filling: In a skillet, cook the steak, bell pepper, onion, and garlic until tender. Season with Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  3. Prepare the Breadsticks: Roll out the pizza dough, add the steak and veggie mixture, cheeses, then fold and seal the dough. Slice into strips and transfer to a baking sheet.
  4. Bake: Brush the tops with melted butter, sprinkle with garlic powder, and bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Serve: Garnish with parsley and enjoy warm with marinara or cheese sauce.

Notes

  • Use a block of cheese for best melt and flavor.
  • You can add sautéed mushrooms for extra Philly flavor.
