Description

Pigs in a Blanket are a classic appetizer featuring cocktail-size sausages wrapped in crescent roll dough, perfect for parties or snacking. Easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser!

Ingredients

Crescent Roll Dough:

1 (8-ounce) can refrigerated crescent roll dough,

Cocktail Sausages:

24 cocktail-size smoked sausages or mini hot dogs,

Egg Wash:

1 large egg (beaten),

Optional Topping:

1 tablespoon sesame seeds or poppy seeds (optional),

For Serving:

Mustard or ketchup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and cut into smaller triangles. Place a sausage on each triangle and roll up tightly.
  3. Arrange and Bake: Place the wrapped sausages on the baking sheet, brush with egg wash, sprinkle with seeds if desired, and bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Serve: Serve warm with mustard or ketchup for dipping.

Notes

  • You can make these ahead of time and refrigerate until ready to bake.
  • For extra flavor, add a slice of cheese before rolling the sausages in the dough.
