For the Pomegranate Margarita:

  • 2 ounces silver tequila
  • 1 ounce triple sec (or orange liqueur)
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 2 ounces pomegranate juice
  • ½ ounce simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • ice
  • lime wedge and coarse salt or sugar (for rimming glass)
  • pomegranate seeds and lime slices (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Glass: Run a lime wedge around the rim of a glass, then dip the rim in coarse salt or sugar. Fill the glass with ice and set aside.
  2. Mix the Ingredients: In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, triple sec, lime juice, pomegranate juice, and simple syrup. Add ice and shake well for about 15 seconds until chilled.
