Pumpkin Butter Recipe:

  • 1 can (15 ounces) pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
  • 3/4 cup apple cider or apple juice
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a medium saucepan, combine pumpkin puree, apple cider, brown sugar, maple syrup, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, nutmeg, and salt. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring frequently.
  2. Simmer: Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for 20–25 minutes, stirring often, until thick and spreadable.
  3. Finish: Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract. Let cool before transferring to a container. Store in the refrigerator.

Notes
