Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: Whisk together the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Add Butter: Cut the cold butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the pumpkin purée, heavy cream, egg, and vanilla extract.
  5. Mix Dough: Add the wet ingredients to the dry mixture and mix until just combined.
  6. Shape and Bake: Pat the dough into a circle, cut into wedges, and place on the baking sheet. Brush with heavy cream, sprinkle with sugar, and bake for 18-22 minutes.
