- ½ cup bean cooking liquid or water

Instructions
- Heat the Oil: Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Sauté Onion: Add onion, sauté until soft, about 5 mins.
- Add Garlic: Stir in garlic, cook for 30 seconds.
- Add Beans & Spices: Add beans, cumin, chili powder, and ¼ cup of liquid.
- Mash Beans: Mash beans until smooth, adding more liquid if needed.
- Cook: Cook for 5–7 mins until heated through and thickened.
- Season: Season with salt and lime juice.

- For creamier beans, blend them with liquid before adding to the pan.
- You can add cheese, jalapeños, or chipotle for extra flavor.
