These Ridiculously Good Chicken Tacos with Green Sauce are a flavorful and satisfying meal that is perfect for a quick and delicious dinner. Tender chicken paired with a creamy avocado green sauce makes for a delightful taco experience.

For the Chicken:
- 1½ lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp chili powder
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
For the Tacos:
- 8 small corn or flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cabbage or lettuce
- ½ cup crumbled queso fresco or feta
- Lime wedges for serving
For the Green Sauce:
- 1 avocado
- ½ cup Greek yogurt or sour cream
- 1 jalapeño (seeded for less heat)
- 1 clove garlic
- ½ cup fresh cilantro
- juice of 1 lime
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- ¼ tsp salt
- 2–4 tbsp water to thin
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken: Mix cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Rub spice mix over the chicken. Cook in a skillet until fully cooked and golden brown. Chop or shred the chicken.
- Make the Green Sauce: Blend avocado, Greek yogurt, jalapeño, garlic, cilantro, lime juice, olive oil, salt, and water until smooth.
- Assemble Tacos: Warm tortillas, then fill with chicken, cabbage, queso fresco, and a drizzle of green sauce. Serve with lime wedges.
