Brownie Batter:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Additional:

  • 1 cup store-bought or homemade caramel sauce
  • 1 teaspoon flaky sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix wet ingredients: Whisk melted butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
  3. Add dry ingredients: Sift in flour, cocoa, and salt. Fold in chocolate chips.
  4. Layer batter: Pour half of batter into pan, drizzle half of caramel, add remaining batter, drizzle rest of caramel, swirl, sprinkle with sea salt.
  5. Bake: Bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  6. Cool and serve: Let cool in pan before slicing into squares.
