- 16 large white mushrooms, stems removed and finely chopped
Sausage Filling:
- 1/2 pound Italian sausage (mild or spicy, casings removed)
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Clean and prepare mushrooms: Clean mushroom caps and set aside. Sauté mushroom stems, onion, and garlic until tender.
