For the Beef:

  • 1 pound flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

For the Stir-Fry:

  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • cooked jasmine rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Beef: Toss the sliced beef with cornstarch until coated.
  2. Make the Sauce: Whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and honey.
  3. Cook the Beef: Sear beef in batches until browned, then set aside.
  4. Stir-Fry: Cook broccoli, garlic, and ginger, then add beef and sauce. Cook until thickened.
  5. Finish and Serve: Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve over rice.

Notes

  • For extra heat, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
