Ingredients
Scale
For the Shrimp:
- 1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
For the Salad:
- 6 cups chopped romaine lettuce
- 1/2 cup Caesar dressing
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup croutons
- Lemon wedges and freshly ground black pepper for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Shrimp: Pat the shrimp dry and toss with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Cook the Shrimp: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side, or until pink and opaque. Remove from heat and set aside to cool slightly.
- Assemble the Salad: In a large bowl, combine chopped romaine lettuce, Caesar dressing, and Parmesan cheese. Toss until evenly coated. Add the cooked shrimp and croutons, and toss gently.
- Serve: Serve immediately with lemon wedges and a sprinkle of black pepper if desired.
Notes
- For extra flavor, grill the shrimp instead of pan-searing.
- You can also add halved cherry tomatoes or sliced avocado for a twist.
- Use homemade Caesar dressing for a more elevated flavor.
