Linguine:
- 8 oz linguine or spaghetti
Seafood:
- ½ pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- ½ pound sea scallops, patted dry
Other:
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- ½ cup dry white wine or chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons butter
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
- juice of ½ lemon
- grated Parmesan for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain, reserving ½ cup of pasta water.
- Sear the Seafood: Heat olive oil in a skillet, sear scallops and shrimp until cooked. Set aside.
- Prepare the Sauce: Cook garlic and cherry tomatoes, add red pepper flakes, wine or broth, and simmer. Stir in butter, pasta, reserved water, shrimp, scallops, lemon juice, and parsley.
- Serve: Toss everything together and serve topped with Parmesan.

- For best texture, make sure scallops are very dry before searing.
