For the Pasta:

  • 12 ounces spaghetti or linguine

For the Shrimp:

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

For the Sauce:

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine or chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
