  • 4 slices deli ham
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Cook the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a skillet, sear the chicken until golden brown and cooked through, then set aside.
  3. Make the Sauce: Melt butter in the same skillet, whisk in flour, then gradually add chicken broth and cream. Stir in mustard and garlic powder, simmer until slightly thickened.
