Description

These Skillet Turkey Burgers are juicy and flavorful, perfect for a quick and satisfying meal. Made with lean ground turkey and a blend of savory seasonings, these burgers are seared to perfection in a skillet and served on toasted buns with your favorite toppings.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 pounds ground turkey (93% lean)
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Optional Toppings:

  • 4 slices cheddar or Swiss cheese
  • 4 burger buns, toasted
  • Lettuce, tomato slices, red onion slices, and condiments of choice for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Burger Patties: In a large bowl, mix together the ground turkey, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 patties.
  2. Cook the Burgers: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for 5-6 minutes per side until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  3. Add Cheese (Optional): If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking and cover to melt.
  4. Toast the Buns: Toast the burger buns in the skillet or separately.
  5. Assemble: Serve the burgers on the toasted buns with lettuce, tomato, red onion, and desired condiments.

Notes

  • Avoid overmixing the turkey mixture for juicy burgers.
  • For added flavor, consider incorporating a tablespoon of grated Parmesan into the burger mixture.
