- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion (diced)
- 1/2 green bell pepper (diced)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
For the Sauce:
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Additional:
- 8 ounces pasta (elbow macaroni or rotini)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Boil water and cook pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Sauté the Beef: In a skillet, brown ground beef with olive oil. Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic; cook until softened.
- Make the Sauce: Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, chili powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5–7 minutes.
- Combine: Add cooked pasta to the skillet, mix well. Sprinkle cheddar cheese, stir until melted.
- Serve: Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
