For the meatballs:

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (or 1 teaspoon dried)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

For cooking:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine: ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, parsley, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until combined.
  2. Roll the mixture into 1.5-inch meatballs.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil. Add meatballs and brown on all sides.
  4. Transfer meatballs to slow cooker, pour marinara sauce over. Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or high for 2–3 hours.
  5. Serve with preferred sides.

  • Use 93% lean ground turkey for a leaner option.
