Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla extract and mix until fully combined.
- Add Dry Ingredients: Stir in the flour, baking soda, and salt until just combined — do not overmix. Fold in the chocolate chips evenly.
- Bake: Spread the cookie dough into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Bake for 22-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is just set but still soft. Do not overbake for a chewier texture.
- Cool and Serve: Allow to cool completely in the pan before lifting out and cutting into bars.
