Tea:
- 8 cups water, divided
- 3 family-size black tea bags
Sweetener:
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda (optional, reduces bitterness)
Garnish:
- ice
- lemon wedges or fresh mint for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Boil Water: In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
- Add Sweetener: Stir in sugar and baking soda (if using) until fully dissolved.
- Prepare Tea: Pour tea concentrate into a large pitcher. Add remaining 4 cups cold water and stir.
- Chill and Serve: Refrigerate until chilled. Serve over plenty of ice, garnished with lemon wedges or mint if desired.
Remove from heat and add tea bags. Cover and steep for 5–7 minutes. Remove and discard tea bags.
Notes
- For stronger tea, steep an extra tea bag.
- Adjust sugar to taste for more or less sweetness.
