Spaghetti Crust:

  • 8 ounces spaghetti
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 large eggs, beaten

Filling:

  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 jar (24 ounces) marinara sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch deep-dish pie plate or springform pan.
  2. Cook spaghetti: Cook spaghetti until al dente, drain, and return to the pot. Stir in butter, Parmesan, and beaten eggs.
  3. Prepare crust: Press spaghetti mixture into the pie plate to form a crust. Spread ricotta cheese over the crust.
  4. Cook meat: Cook ground beef or sausage with onion until browned. Add garlic, then marinara sauce, and simmer.
  5. Assemble: Spoon meat sauce over ricotta layer. Sprinkle mozzarella on top.
  6. Bake: Bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is melted. Let stand before serving. Garnish with parsley.
