Description

This Spicy Ground Beef Taco Ring is a fun and flavorful twist on traditional tacos. A flaky crescent dough ring filled with seasoned beef, gooey cheeses, and zesty salsa, perfect for a party appetizer or a quick weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Beef Filling:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/4 cup salsa

For Assembly and Serving:

  • 2 cans (8 ounces each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • shredded lettuce
  • diced tomatoes
  • sliced olives
  • sour cream
  • jalapeños for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cook the Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat, then stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer until thickened.
  3. Mix in Cheese and Salsa: Remove from heat and mix in cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, and salsa.
  4. Prepare the Ring: Unroll crescent dough and form a circle on the baking sheet. Spoon beef mixture around the center. Fold dough over the filling.
  5. Bake: Brush with beaten egg and bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Serve: Let cool slightly before garnishing with lettuce, tomatoes, olives, sour cream, and jalapeños.
