Sushi Rice:
- 1 cup sushi rice, rinsed and cooked according to package instructions
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Spicy Salmon:
- 8 ounces sushi-grade salmon, diced
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1–2 teaspoons sriracha (to taste)
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
Additional Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup cucumber, diced
- 1/2 avocado, sliced
- 1/4 cup shredded carrots
- 2 tablespoons chopped green onions
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- pickled ginger and extra soy sauce for serving
Instructions
- Prepare Sushi Rice: Combine cooked sushi rice with rice vinegar, sugar, and salt.
- Make Spicy Salmon: Mix diced salmon with mayonnaise, sriracha, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
- Assemble Bowls: Divide seasoned rice into bowls. Top with salmon mixture, cucumber, avocado, carrots, green onions, and sesame seeds. Serve with pickled ginger and soy sauce.
Notes
- For extra crunch, add crispy wonton strips or nori strips on top.
- Adjust sriracha to taste.
