For the Chicken Filling:
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 1 carrot, shredded
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1–2 teaspoons sriracha (to taste)
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1/4 cup chopped peanuts
For Serving:
- 8–10 large butter lettuce leaves
- Optional garnish: lime wedges, extra sriracha
Instructions
- Cook the Chicken Filling: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground chicken and cook until no longer pink, about 5–6 minutes. Stir in garlic, bell pepper, and carrot; cook for 2–3 minutes.
- Season the Filling: Add hoisin sauce, soy sauce, fish sauce, lime juice, and sriracha. Stir and simmer for 2–3 minutes to meld flavors. Remove from heat and stir in cilantro.
- Assemble the Wraps: Spoon chicken mixture into lettuce leaves, sprinkle with peanuts, and serve immediately. Garnish with lime wedges and extra sriracha if desired.
Notes
- For a lower-sodium version, use low-sodium soy sauce and hoisin.
- You can also swap ground chicken for turkey or pork.
