For the Chicken Filling:

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 carrot, shredded
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1–2 teaspoons sriracha (to taste)
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 cup chopped peanuts

For Serving:

  • 8–10 large butter lettuce leaves
  • Optional garnish: lime wedges, extra sriracha

Instructions

  1. Cook the Chicken Filling: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground chicken and cook until no longer pink, about 5–6 minutes. Stir in garlic, bell pepper, and carrot; cook for 2–3 minutes.
  2. Season the Filling: Add hoisin sauce, soy sauce, fish sauce, lime juice, and sriracha. Stir and simmer for 2–3 minutes to meld flavors. Remove from heat and stir in cilantro.
  3. Assemble the Wraps: Spoon chicken mixture into lettuce leaves, sprinkle with peanuts, and serve immediately. Garnish with lime wedges and extra sriracha if desired.

Notes

  • For a lower-sodium version, use low-sodium soy sauce and hoisin.
  • You can also swap ground chicken for turkey or pork.
