Description

  • 1 cup whole milk

For the cheesecake layer:

  • 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese (softened)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the frosting:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

For garnish:

  • Fresh berries
  • Edible flowers
  • Lemon zest (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cheesecake Layer: Preheat oven to 325°F. Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in sour cream and vanilla. Bake in a springform pan.
  2. Vanilla Cake Layers: Preheat oven to 350°F. Cream butter and sugar, add eggs and vanilla. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk. Bake in cake pans.
  3. Frosting: Beat butter, then add powdered sugar, vanilla, cream, and salt until fluffy.
  4. Assembly: Layer cake, cheesecake, then cake. Frost and garnish.
