Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare baking sheets with parchment paper or leave ungreased if using a cookie press.
- Mix dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Cream butter and sugar: In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add wet ingredients: Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract until well combined.
- Combine and press: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fill a cookie press and press cookies onto the baking sheets.
- Decorate and bake: Decorate with colored sprinkles if desired and bake for 7-9 minutes until edges are barely golden.
- Cool and enjoy: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
