Description

These Steakhouse Burgers are juicy and flavorful, perfect for a classic cookout. Made with a blend of seasonings and topped with melted cheddar cheese, they are a crowd-pleaser every time.

Ingredients

Scale

Ground Beef Patties:

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef (80/20 chuck)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Additional Ingredients:

  • 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
  • 4 brioche or hamburger buns, toasted
  • 4 leaves romaine or butter lettuce
  • 4 slices tomato
  • 4 slices red onion
  • 1/4 cup steak sauce or burger sauce
  • Butter or oil for grilling

Instructions

  1. Mix Ground Beef: In a large bowl, gently mix the ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until just combined.
  2. Form Patties: Form the seasoned beef into 4 equal patties, about 3/4 inch thick, and make a slight indentation in the center of each patty.
  3. Grill Patties: Heat a grill over medium-high heat, oil the grates, and grill the patties for 4-5 minutes per side until desired doneness.
  4. Add Cheese: During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.
  5. Toast Buns: Toast the buns on the grill until golden.
  6. Assemble Burgers: Spread steak sauce on the bottom bun, top with lettuce, burger patty, tomato, and red onion. Complete with the bun lid and serve.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, mix chopped cooked bacon or sautéed mushrooms into the beef mixture.
  • Serve with crispy fries or a side salad for a classic steakhouse meal.
