For the Sauce:
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/2 cup chicken broth or water
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
For the Stir Fry:
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts or beef flank steak, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup snap peas, trimmed
- 2 carrots, thinly sliced
- 3 green onions, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked rice for serving
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, cornstarch, and chicken broth. Set aside.
- Stir Fry: Heat vegetable oil in a large wok over medium-high heat. Cook the meat until browned, then set aside. Stir fry garlic and ginger, then add vegetables. Return meat, pour sauce over everything, and cook until thickened. Stir in green onions and sesame oil.
- Serve: Serve hot over cooked rice, garnished with sesame seeds.
