Description

Delicious and nutritious Strawberry Protein Balls made with almond flour, freeze-dried strawberries, and vanilla protein powder. These no-bake snack bites are easy to prepare in just 10 minutes and are perfect for a quick energy boost or healthy treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup Almond Flour
  • 1 cup Freeze-Dried Strawberries (lightly crushed, approximately 20 grams)
  • 1/3 cup Vanilla Protein Powder
  • 1/4 cup Freeze-Dried Strawberries (pulsed into powder)

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup Cashew Butter
  • 1/4 cup Maple Syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon Almond Extract
  • 4 tablespoons Almond Milk (plus 12 tablespoons extra if needed)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Natural Strawberry Extract

Instructions

  1. Crush the strawberries: Add the freeze-dried strawberries to a zip-lock bag and gently crush them using a rolling pin until you have a mix of powder and small pieces.
  2. Combine dry ingredients: In a mixing bowl, mix the almond flour, finely crushed freeze-dried strawberries, and vanilla protein powder thoroughly.
  3. Add wet ingredients: Incorporate maple syrup, cashew butter, almond extract, and natural strawberry extract into the dry ingredient mixture.
  4. Mix dough: Stir everything together until a moist, soft dough forms. If the mixture feels too dry, add 1-2 tablespoons almond milk gradually. If too wet, add vanilla protein powder 1 teaspoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.
  5. Shape and coat: Lightly grease your hands with oil to prevent sticking. Roll the dough into 12 equal balls. Then roll each ball in the powdered freeze-dried strawberry to coat evenly.

Notes

  • Ensure the freeze-dried strawberries are fully dry to avoid soggy dough.
  • You can substitute cashew butter with almond butter or peanut butter based on preference.
  • Adjust maple syrup quantity to control sweetness.
  • Store protein balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • These bites make a great pre- or post-workout snack or a healthy on-the-go treat.
