Description

Enjoy a delicious and nutritious meal with these Sweet & Spicy Ground Turkey & Broccoli Bowls. Packed with flavor and easy to make, these bowls are perfect for a quick and satisfying dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Bowls:

  • 1 pound lean ground turkey
  • 2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
  • 3 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the Turkey: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground turkey and cook until fully cooked and lightly browned, about 6–8 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Add Flavors: Add garlic and ginger, cook for another 1–2 minutes. Whisk together soy sauce, honey, sriracha, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Pour over the turkey and stir to coat.
  3. Cook the Broccoli: Add broccoli to the skillet, stir to combine. Cover and cook for 5–6 minutes until tender. For frozen broccoli, cook a few minutes longer.
  4. Finish and Serve: Remove from heat, top with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve over cooked rice.

Notes

  • You can use ground chicken or beef instead of turkey.
  • Add extra veggies like shredded carrots or snap peas.
  • Adjust the spice level by varying the sriracha.
  • Great for meal prep—store in the fridge for up to 4 days.
