Fruit Syrup:
- 4 ripe peaches (pitted and sliced)
- 2 cups water
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
Tea Base:
- 6 cups water
- 4 black tea bags
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
Garnish:
- Fresh mint leaves
- Peach slices
Instructions
- Fruit Syrup: In a medium saucepan, combine peaches, 2 cups water, and sugar. Simmer until peaches are soft and sugar is dissolved. Strain syrup and set aside.
- Tea Base: Boil 6 cups of water, steep tea bags for 5–7 minutes. Remove tea bags and let tea cool. Stir in peach syrup and lemon juice.
- Chill and Serve: Refrigerate peach tea until cold. Serve over ice, garnished with mint leaves and peach slices.
Notes
- Try using white or green tea for a lighter flavor.
- Adjust sweetness by altering the sugar in the peach syrup.
- For a sparkling version, add a splash of sparkling water before serving.
