Main Casserole:

  • 4 cups mashed cooked sweet potatoes (about 4 large sweet potatoes)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Topping:

  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and butter a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Prepare Sweet Potato Mixture: In a large bowl, mix sweet potatoes, sugar, melted butter, eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt until smooth. Spread into baking dish.
  3. Make Topping: Combine brown sugar and flour. Cut in butter, stir in pecans. Sprinkle over sweet potatoes.
