For the meatballs:
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup onion, finely minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
For the gravy:
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 package (1 oz) onion soup mix
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch mixed with 3 tablespoons water (for thickening)
Optional garnish:
- fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Prepare the meatballs: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Form into 1-inch meatballs.
- Cook in the slow cooker: Place the meatballs in the slow cooker. Mix beef broth, onion soup mix, Worcestershire sauce, and ketchup in a bowl, then pour over the meatballs. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Thicken the gravy: Thirty minutes before serving, stir in the cornstarch slurry to thicken the gravy.
- Serve: Serve the meatballs warm, garnished with parsley, over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.

- For extra flavor, brown the meatballs before slow cooking.
- Ground turkey or chicken can be used as substitutes.
