Main Sauce Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar

- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
Additional Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon cold water for slurry
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil (optional)
Instructions
- Combine Ingredients: In a saucepan, mix soy sauce, water, rice vinegar, brown sugar, honey, garlic, and ginger. Simmer.
- Make Slurry: Mix cornstarch and water in a bowl. Add to sauce and cook until thickened.
- Finish: Remove from heat, add sesame oil (if desired), and cool before using or storing.
Notes
- Store leftover sauce in the fridge for up to 1 week.
- Use as a marinade, stir-fry sauce, or glaze.
- For extra heat, add red pepper flakes.
