- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup milk
Layering:
- 3 cups frozen or canned sliced potatoes (thawed or drained)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook Beef: Cook ground beef and onion in a skillet until browned. Drain excess grease.
- Combine Ingredients: Add garlic powder, salt, pepper, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and milk. Mix well.
- Layer: In the baking dish, layer potatoes, beef mixture, and cheddar cheese. Repeat the layers.
- Bake: Sprinkle with paprika, cover with foil, and bake for 35 minutes. Uncover, add remaining cheese, and bake for another 10–15 minutes.
- Rest and Serve: Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley if desired.
