Beans:

  • 1 (15 oz) can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 (15 oz) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 (15 oz) can pinto beans, drained and rinsed

Canned Tomatoes:

  • 1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 (15 oz) can diced tomatoes with green chilies

Additional:

  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • ½ cup beef broth or water

Instructions

  1. Cook the Meat: In a large pot, brown the ground beef and Italian sausage over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  2. Sauté Vegetables: Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Sauté until softened.
  3. Add Spices: Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook to bloom the spices.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Add beans, canned tomatoes, tomato paste, and broth. Simmer for 30–40 minutes.
  5. Serve: Adjust seasoning and enjoy with toppings like sour cream and cheese.
